POWER: Sasha feels most at home in the woods and forest so it is only natural for her power to reflect that. When she became a Magical Girl Sasha was able to control the wood in the trees and other plants. A lame sounding power to most, but Sasha loves what she can do. With her power, Sasha can create, shape and manipulate wood/woody plants including trees and shrubs. She can cause wood to grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", revive withered or dead wood or manipulate the dead wood as well as living.

When it comes to offensive magical attacks Sasha is always ready. The tattoos on her arms (with the help of her magic) come alive and provide her with sharp twigs and branches that she can throw with deadly precision and force. She has been known to get creative with her branches and has used them as whips.

Passively, her powers are not as neat or handy, at least her in opinion. Like many trees and plants that release toxins when threatened Sasha is able to secrete a toxic like substance from her hands. This poison touch will subdue, paralyze or even kill, depending on how long the physical contact last. A few slip ups have happened when she was not transformed and that has led to Sasha always wearing some type of glove in her every day life, to protect those around her...just in case.

When it comes to travel in the Magical Girl realm Sasha can 'fade' or teleport at will, disappearing and reappearing in a white mist.

FAMILIAR: A crow named Edgar: Edgar is a very wise and mysterious familiar. Not one for unnecessary speaking, what he says is precise and to the point. A ruthless mentor, Edgar demands nothing but the best from Sasha and will except nothing less..something that does cause strain on their relationship, even to this day.

SCARS AND MARKINGS: a large tree tattoo in the center of her back and smaller branch like tattoos that spiral around her arms, starting at her shoulders and creeping down toward her hands. These tattoos are magically endowed which gives them special properties that mortal tattoos won't have. The tree on her back will change with the seasons, the leaves changing and falling as the year progresses on. Sasha is particularly fond of the fall when the leaves on her back turn a beautiful vibrant red. The branch tattoos around her arms will come alive and can be used in various ways. Sasha's favorite use of them is calling the physical branch out and using it as a deadly throwing object. Since the tattoo is magic she has a endless supply of wood to throw...at least until her magic needs to recharge.

DESCRIPTION: Average height for a woman her age Sasha is a curvy gal and she loves her body. She is comfortable and confidant in her appearance and is not afraid to show off her figure and bust. With long, chestnut brown hair that crowns her head and falls past her shoulder and shinning brown eyes and fair skin Sasha is truly a beauty. One of her best features is her raspy voice, something that many people find alluring. Sasha loves to accessorize her outfits and any kind of jewelry or ornament she wears is tree or branch (or cherry...she has a thing for cherries) related.

Her transformation bracelet is a antiqued gold cuff designed in a intricate web of branches, with a large oval garnet stone in the center.

Fear: Failure: From a early age, great things have always been expected from Sasha. She was always told to be the best in what she does and it has been ingrained in her mind, despite her attempts at trying to leave that in her past.



Desire: To leave the Magical Girl life behind: Sasha desires much more out of life than what being a Magical Girl can offer her. She wants to be able to live freely and make choices that won't have such a large effect on the people of the world that she is supposed to protect. She loves part of the MG life but the responsibility of the whole thing really weighs on her and she would rather not have it.



HABITS: Sasha loves to sing. She will sing when she is bored regardless if there is music playing or not.

PET PEEVE: She doesn't want to call herself a tree hugger but..when your powers are based on the trees and the nature around you, you kind of start to have a soft spot for them. Sasha hates when people litter or destroy plants around them for no reason. She is all about preserving the worlds forest.



STRENGTHS:

• Is pretty willing to try anything: A plan that might not seem like a good idea? Leave it to Sasha to find out, she is the type of person to jump into something without too much thought and it drives Edgar crazy.

• Stubborn: Much like her given element Sasha can be very stubborn and does not bend easily. Once her mind is made up there is very little chance at changing it.

* Loyal: She hasn't had much luck when it comes to lasting relationships (romantic or otherwise) but if she finds that connection with someone it is there for life. She would do anything to protect something so precious to her.



WEAKNESSES:

• Fire: While, yes, most people would feel the same about fire Sasha gets particularly weak around it thanks to her powers and she tries to avoid it as much as possible. Tiny flames from candles and other similar things don't do much but sitting by a fireplace or a bon fire makes her nervous and she will position herself as far from the open flame as possible.

• Lightning: Sasha has a love hate relationship with lightning, she enjoys storms but trees tend to attract the energy and it can destroy them. She is no different. However, there have been times when it has come in handy as she has teamed up with another Magical Girl before that had electric powers and was able to do some amazing combo attacks so, it really all depends on how the energy is used, it can either help her or it can hurt her.

* Establishment: Sasha has a huge problem with authority and she makes it known, makes working in large teams difficult, as well as working with her 'by the books' familiar.


TRAITS:

Sasha Reynolds is a bright, outgoing, fun loving kind of girl. A bit of a thrill seeker and daredevil she is always looking for a good rush and the next challenge. Having grown up in a strict household Sasha learned to resent order and authority for a early age and it lead her to act out and rebel and that still carries over to today. Very outgoing she loves the bar life and has that ' straight whiskey, foul mouthed tough girl' attitude and will play it up to its full extent. Friends are not something she has many of, while she has plenty of acquaintances and people that may consider her a friend Sasha does her best to distance herself from those types of relationships, finding it better that way after a few close losses in her life and not wanting to have a repeat of those feelings.

HISTORY:


Sasha Reynolds childhood left much to be desired. Growing up her family moved around a lot thanks to her father being a Sergeant in the army. The family traveled from military base to military base, never staying in one spot for very long and whenever Sasha tried to make friends it seemed as soon as she did they were packing and moving across the country again. This went on for years and all of Sasha’s early childhood was seemingly spent with moving boxes. After her father’s retirement from the military Bryan joined the police force and rose up the ranks to Captain. Eventually settling his family down back in their home town of Portland, Oregon.

At first this seemed like a blessing to Sasha, now 12. They were finally going to be in one place for the rest of their lives, no more moving and no more packing and she could finally make some real friends since spending time with her younger sister was starting to lose it’s appeal (Sasha loved Samantha but she was at ‘that age’ where she didn’t want the annoying little sister following her around) . It seemed like a dream come true but that little bubble of happiness didn’t last long.

Bryan was a very strict man, always demanding the best from his daughters. He treated them like soldiers instead of his children and now that he was home more often rather than traveling overseas like he had been doing in the Military it was a constant thing and Sasha quickly grew to resent him for it. Every morning the girls were forced to run drills, with no concern for the weather or how they were feeling, it was like being at a boot camp.

Finally after she couldn't take the emotional abuse anymore.

Sasha began acting out at around age 14; sneaking out of the house, drinking, smoking, shoplifting…all the bad habits that rebellious teens did. This did not go over well in the Reynolds house hold and it only brought her father’s wrath down more but, that didn’t stop her. His actions only fueled hers and the more he yelled and threatened her the more she acted out. It was around this time when Sasha found out that she was a Magical Girl.

One night after having snuck out of the house Sasha had planned to meet her gang of friends at a local park after hours to cause some mischief. When she arrived the park was empty except for a group of the homeless that usually took shelter in the park at night. These guys were nothing new, Sasha and her group had seen them before and they always kept to themselves but, since no one else had shown up yet and she was alone Sasha decided to distance herself from them. Didn’t need tonight to be the night that they decided to pull something, walking toward the other end of the park Sasha decided to wait there for her group of friends and she sat herself down on a set of swings. She waited and waited but no one showed. Finally, after about a hour Sasha heard some movement behind her and thinking it was her gang having finally showed up but she was wrong. On top of the homeless that liked to use the park at night drug addicts did the same, finding the ample tree coverage the perfect spot to get their fix uninterrupted. Sasha must have gotten too close to one of their hiding spots because a crazed looking man stumbled out of the trees and started yelling at her and approaching her. Sasha could only guess what he was on and whatever it was was giving him hallucinations because the man tried to attack her.

The teen ran and tried to call for help but the addict was quickly on her and had her cornered. With no where left to run and being frozen with fear all she could do was stand there. As the man came at her for the attack Sasha put her arms up to protect herself and she screamed as she did however.. Something amazing happened.

A bright, cherry red light came from her hands and sent the man flying back into the ground and he did not get up. Sasha couldn’t believe what had just happened, she knew that light came from her, she had felt it leave her hands but what she didn’t understand was why or how. When the man didn’t get up she cautiously went to check on him and as she approached and stood over him she heard a deep voice speak. At first the voice started her and she jumped and whipped around to see if someone else was going to try to attack her or worse yet, had seen her but….no one was there , all that was around was a large crow sitting on a park bench. She stood there for what seemed like eternity, straining her eyes to see if someone else was hiding in the trees but no one came. Finally, the girl decided that what she heard was in her head and that she was just freaking out about what had just happened and as she tried to look at the man closer to see if he was still alive she heard the voice again. This time she knew what she heard and again she whipped around to look for the source of the noise but all she saw was the crow.

”Over here” The voice spoke again when Sasha started to scan the tree line once more. This time she was certain that it had come from the bench and she slowly turned her head to look at the bird. No…that was impossible. Sasha thought she had lost her mind, first the red light and now talking birds? Maybe the addict had somehow gotten whatever he was using on her and she was feeling its effects. Her theory was shot down however when the large crow hopped along the bench till it was closer to her and spoke again.

”I am your familiar, Edgar.”

It was that short sentence that had changed her life forever. From that moment on Sasha began her Magical Girl training, sneaking out at night to scour the city in search of shades and learning more about her power. Sasha was very good at her Magical Girl job and she enjoyed it but she realized all to soon that Edgar was just like her father. He harped on her, pushed her, and trained her to hard and it caused a lot of problems between the two early on.

When she was 16 Sasha’s mother fell ill to breast cancer. Not having been caught in time the disease quickly spread throughout Nora’s body and she died a few months later. Naturally the family was devastated at the loss, the girls had lost a mother and Bryan had lost a wife. It seemed Bryan didn’t know exactly how to act with the sudden loss of his love and he started to lash out at the girls worse than before. Samantha had learned to accept her fathers outburst and not to do what her sister did and talk back. She had seen what happened when Sasha did it and so she quietly accepted their fate but Sasha couldn’t take it anymore. After one particularly horrible fight Sasha had made up her mind. As soon as she turned 18 she was leaving and that’s exactly what she did.

For two years Sasha worked whatever jobs she could find for a teen, at the grocery store, the pet store, a hostess at a restaurant. She worked these after school and summer jobs as well as keeping up with her school and her Magical Girl responsibilities. It nearly killed her but keeping busy kept her away from home to where she didn’t have to see her father as often. On her eighteenth birthday Sasha packed her bags and took off for the city, determined to make it on her own. She begged Samantha to come with her, not knowing how she was going to support both of them but she would find a way but the younger girl didn’t want to leave their father behind and turned down the offer. Sasha was devastated but she knew she couldn’t stay and after saying goodbye to herself sister she left without as much as a word to her father.

After drifting around a lot Sasha finally settled in Bellwick and has set up a nice little life here. She got a job at a local bar as one of their bartenders and has been there ever since, has a nice cozy little one bedroom cottage apartment near the woods and still keeps up with her Magical Girl duties. Lately Sasha has noticed a change in the amount of Shades in the area as well as a influx of Magical Girls but, she sticks to herself, figuring the others can handle it.
