What Is a Familiar?:

A familiar is a spirit that appears when the Magical Girls power awakens that acts as a guide and mentor. These familiars can take on any animal form but they usually choose to represent themselves in a form that best describes their girls inner personality. If and when a magical girl dies the familiar will return to its spirit form and seek out its next student.

What Does a Familiar Do?:

A familiar is a highly inelegant being and acts as the Magical Girls guide, helping train them and explain their place and purpose in our world. Each familiar has their own unique personality that can either compliment or clash with their girls own personality but it truly depends on the familiar themselves. Fiercely loyal companions a familiar will go to great lengths to protect their charge.

What Powers Do Familiars Have?:

A familiars power can vary and depends greatly on the level of power their magical girl possess. Each familiar has a smaller power stone that mirrors their magical girl's, the stone is the unique marker of that spirit/familar. Every familiar has the ability to transform into two separate forms. A smaller, more compact form that is often time mistaken for pets, stuffed animals or toys that allows the familiar to travel with the girl with ease without raising questions and a larger form that is usually used in dire situations when the need to defend themselves becomes apparent.
